I was invited to participate in the CBA open day event that was held (by the time you read this) yesterday in Sahat AlAlam (Flag Square, I think). First off I would like to thank Pink Coffee for preparing everything for me whilst I was being heart broken and going through my killing rampage. It was a good way to test the market in terms of merchandise for the future. 


I managed to raise quite a bit and I would like to wholeheartedly thank those who took the time to listen to my story and support the cause. The funds raised will be placed in a pot that will accumulate till the end of the year and hopefully by then I would have been able to raise a significant amount so thank you once again.


There were quite a few stalls that had some nice concepts eg: Questnet who's motto is Redefining Your Future, or Kharbet which is a collection of local art that's submitted by local talent and turned into a coffee table book. However, because we live in a world that has been inspired by 90210 or Laguna Beach.. oops sorry... I mean The Hills, the majority has become:


So intrigued with looking hot or cool in their abercombies and uggs..
Being able to walk in stilettos in broad daylight across a huge square whilst balancing a hairdo and not ripping their jeans..
Or walking around the flag pole like it was pilgrimage with their Blackberrys in constant motion..


...that these cool concepts went unnoticed by so many.


It's sad because I don't want this society to be ignorant because of sitcoms and reality shows. I don't want the sparkers to die out because people would rather get a coffee and sit and watch people rather than motivate each other. Come on guys you're our future!
